Question/Problem Description

Silent Install for Windows 7 64 bit fails with there is NOT enough disk space to install to C:\Progress\OpenEdge

Installation log shows:  The Installation Utility has detected that there is NOT enough disk space to install to C:\Progress\OpenEdge

 

Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
There is ample space to install OpenEdge.
Error MessageError2 = The Installation Utility has detected that there is NOT enough disk space to install to C:\Progress\OpenEdge
Defect/Enhancement NumberDefect PSC00206847
Cause
The exact cause is not known at this time and appears to be limited to 10.2A1P.
Resolution
Upgrade to 10.2B.x, 11.x or later.
If it is not possible to upgrade at this time an alternate method is to use the workaround below.
Workaround
Run the install using the interactive mode. . 
Notes
The ReadMe files for 10.2B, 11.0 and 11.1 list the defect PSC00206847 as a "Known" issue and that the installs must be done using the Interactive mode.  This is not correct. The silent install works in 10.2B.x and 11.x on Windows 64 bit Operating Systems.
