How to insert data in a non-journaled DB2 iSeries table using the Connect for ADO.NET DB2 provider.
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Error MessageSQL7008N "table_name" in "XXXXXX" not valid for operation.
Defect/Enhancement Number
Cause
The IsolationLevel connection option is set to "ReadCommitted" as the default which does not allow the data to be updated in a non-journaled DB2 iSeries table.
Resolution
Set the connection option Isolation Level to the following to allow inserts and updates to non-journaled DB2 iSeries tables:

IsolationLevel=None
 
Workaround
Turn on journaling.
