When choosing a field to be displayed on a SmartDataViewer from the fields available in an SDO, if the SDO field is a calculated field it loses formatting and the data appears truncated on the viewer.
Steps to Reproduce- Create a calculated field in SDO which simply returns the value from a field in a table
- Add the calculated field to a SmartDataViewer (SDV)
Note that the field is displayed as a FILL-IN instead of an EDITOR
Clarifying Information

The field in question has a VIEW-AS phrase assigned to it via the Data Dictionary.
Error Message
Defect/Enhancement Number

The VIEW-AS doesn't get inherited by calculated fields.

Link the calculated field to an editor widget on the viewer.

For example:
  • From the palette drop an editor widget on the viewer and resize/relocate it as necessary
