The Sitefinity version is not known.
Resolution

There are several ways to check which Sitefinity version is installed.

First option: (via the UI)
Go to Administration -> Version & Licensing (requires backend access):

Second option: (via the Source Code)
To check the Sitefinity version from within Visual Studio:
The way to do this is to expand References in Visual Studio solution explorer and locate Telerik.Sitefinity assembly reference and select Properties. In Properties the Version matches the version of Sitefinity.

Third option: (via the Configuration files)
check the DataConfig.config file in the project files(~/ App_Data/Sitefinity/Configuration/DataConfig.config) and find the version which is specified there.

Fourth option (via the Database)

Execute the following query:
select * from sf_schema_vrsns
where module_name like 'Sitefinity'
