Question/Problem Description
Sometimes editing a page results on unresponsive buttons and features because of custom javascript libraries that conflict with the libraries Sitefinity loads in the backend.

Resolution
If the Page template used is a custom MVC consider this approach:

@if (!Telerik.Sitefinity.Services.SystemManager.IsDesignMode) {
      <script src="THE_PATH_TO_THE_CUSTOM_LIBRARY"></script>
}

If the page template is based on a master page (Web Form):

<head runat="server">
<title>Hi folks</title>

<asp:placeholder runat="server">
<% if (!Telerik.Sitefinity.Services.SystemManager.IsDesignMode) { Response.Write("<script src='/Sitefinity/WebsiteTemplates/MyTemp/App_Themes/Blue/Js/THE_CUSTOM_LIBRARY.js'></script>"); } %>
</asp:placeholder>

</head>
