Question/Problem Description
Increasing parameter values online with PROUTIL increaseto fails with error 13984
Increasing database server startup parameters online fails with error 13984
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Multiple server startup parameters are being increased at the same time.
Server startup parameters are valid for the PROUTIL increaseto function.
User increasing parameters has Security privileges on the directly connected database
Error MessageIncrease Params no valid increase online parameter specified. (13984)

Enhancement Number
  1. The shared memory parameter is invalid, for example -lruskips is not supported. 
  2. The input value used to increase a shared memory parameter is invalid. Shared memory input values cannot be:
  • Less than those already in use, or
  • Greater than supported limits for the OpenEdge version in use.
  1. A limited subset of shared memory parameters can be increased online. Refer to Article  What is proutil <dbname> -C  increaseto?   
  2. Review the current shared-memory values then adjust the shared memory parameter value accordingly:  PROMON > Option 6.  Shared resources
